I rode here yesterday and I decided that I needed to be very quiet about it so I left the bike by the hedge and walked across.. Any ideas where?

Ive just got a quote for £60 for a good second hand standard silencer for an XR 400. Is this a reasonable price ? I doubt if the original insert is still in place cos they were pretty much instantly removed and the airbox opening modified . Will it be quieter than the so called FMF 'Q' pipe Im currently us...

This should be interesting, going to try and purchase all black plastics for the bike, they are looking a bit tatty so nows a good time to try and tone the bike down a bit. I wonder if its possible?

picking up my new stealth bike tomorrow so ready for a bit of silent exploring by the end of the week. handguards Tuesday, new tyres (trials type) Wednesday and other required mods Thursday/Friday then out quietly on Saturday. May you never hear me 'till you see my smiling face!

So, I recently changed my bike from a fairly loud one to a smaller more innocuous one.....What have you done to embrace the 'Stealth-E side'? I would like to hear what you've done whether it is to change your riding style, habits, bike, etc?

Valentine’s Day eh? Cooked her-in-doors a steak for tea last night so I got a day pass to go out with a few TRF mates.Slipped out of Exeter via Dawlish around 9.30 and off over towards Teignmouth trying to use a few less known lanes, which worked out well cos it was lovely with not a soul around, even manage...

Ok, yes another new members. Wow this is nice, what a cooool concept and all within the trf style. Might, (or might not) be going out on sunday with perhaps some others (2) who are not on this forum but defo subscribe to the stealthy thang. Hope to post a few pics and a quick ride report, if thats ok with you...

There'll be a ride on Thursday 18th Feb starting near Plympton. Places are limited to 5 and there's 2 already. Normal stealth rules apply...we will stop for anyone on the lanes and engage in polite conversation.

3 of us might have been out and about today. I'll post a picture up tomorrow. Smashing ride with some lovely lanes ridden. Horses make a bigger mess than we do as evidenced on several lanes today. Downside...we had to mend a bike which took an hour out trying to find an electrical fault without a test lead...

So now I am here, how does one go about advertising a ride or finding about a planned ride, are there any serect signals or handshakes that we need to learn to identify ourselves to one another. such as PLease listen carefully I will say this only once after which my tounge will combust

OK, where's the new member area? I'm a convert to the 'stealth mode' having recently purchased an old Yamaha that needs some care and attention. It is rideable and I enjoy it immensely but fear that I will need some advice from others as to how to cure the many problems that make it interesting. Personal...
